Straight Talk Now Has A Hotspot mobile broadband device?
#1
Answerpail.com Question and Answer Website
I was browsing the internet looking for a good prepaid mobile hotspot and noticed that Straight Talk now has a mobile hotspot.

Below is what the hotspot looks like. Anyone here use one of these?

I see you can get 1GB of data for $15.00 which isn't too bad and up to 7GB of data for $50.00

Here's there plan prices. http://www.straighttalk.com/wps/portal/h...BtXALcw!!/

Interesting. Was gonna tether a phone when I make a trip back to Kansas this spring. But seeing as they have a mobile broadband device it would be better to just go with the broadband device.

My mom's been asking me what I want for my birthday in March and I think I'll ask her to get me this. If not I'll buy it myself as I need mobile broadband for business.

I'm going to Kansas in a week or so. I picked this device up today.

It's smaller than it looks in the picture.

I got the 1GB of data card for it for now as I'm sure I can get by with that amount for awhile using this device.

I'll update you on it when I get it activated and start using it.

Did you ever get it activated yet and start using it?

I activated it a few days ago and used it. It's a bit slow in my area right now as I don't have a strong signal where I'm at.

But I'm sure it'll work faster when I get to Kansas as there's a tower about 4 blocks from my parents house in Turon kansas.

Cool. What towers does this device run off of?

Hopefully Verizon as I've got good Verizon service at my house.

It's indeed Verizon towers that this Straight Talk Hotspot runs off of.

I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't run off of verizon as Verizon is the only carrier that has most towers.

Any other carrier such as sprint etc is just useless to me.

I need internet a lot for work and I must have a signal wherever I go.

Good to hear straight talk finally came out with a hotspot. I like straight talks service as I've had a phone with them for a few years now without trouble.

I do have a verizon hotspot but some months I barely use it and sometimes not at all and I'm wasting money paying a monthly bill.

Looks like this hotspot will work out for me and save me some money.

I think I'll buy one soon.

I'm in Kansas now near the tower. The speed is a lot faster here now.

I love this hot spot and I say it's worth the money. Got great signal here.

I'm still using it right now. It's currently my main internet connection at the moment.

It's still working pretty great. I do sometimes go over the 2GB data limit and get shut off for a few days until I can go pick up another card. Next I'll be buying a larger card that'll last longer.

I think I could make do on 4GB a month for awhile.
